Take I-93 (JFK Expressway) to Exit 15. (UMass, JFK Library, Columbia Rd.) If coming on I-93 South, make a right onto Columbia Rd. off the exit. If coming on I-93 North then make a left into Columbia (you have to go right and loop around the rotary and come back to "turn left" onto Columbia).
Stay on Columbia until you get to Blue Hill Ave. Columbia Road ends at Blue Hill and Franklin Park is directy in front of you. Make a left into Blue Hill and drive about 3-4 miles along Blue Hill.
You'll go by a large intersection with a Police station and a gas station on the right (Gallivan Blvd.) A little while later you'll pass Walh Hill Rd., Hiawatha Rd and Tennis Rd., all on the right. Almont Street is one or two blocks further on. Make a right onto Almont St and the park will be half a block up on the left.
NOTES:
1. The only thing you have to look out for is about a half mile or so
after you get off I-93. Once you are on Columbia Rd, go through a 4-way intersection (gas station on your right)
and then you will come to another intersection (big and messy with several roads converging). At this intersection,
Columbia Road makes a 90 degree turn to the left and Massachusetts Ave. continues straight ahead. Make sure you
turn left with Columbia Rd. at that point. There is a chinese restaurant, a Store 24 and a Kentucky Fried Chicken
at the intersection to look out for.
2. Park on Almont St by the ground (parking in front of the houses is for residents only).
